Q&A

Why did you get into coaching? I love seeing people with a smile on their face and it's my true passion and purpose of life because it doesn't feel like work to me.

What is your philosophy/style/approach? Helping people work through their bad experiences and traumas to unlock their true self, which in turns unlocks true passion and purpose in life.

What book had the biggest change in your life and what did you learn from it? 'The Complete Conversations With God' by Neale Donald Walsch, Books 1,2,3. I'm not religious at all but I was curious about this through the spiritual side, and, wow, it blew me away on how self-love plays a huge part in how people play out in life. It was very powerful for me because it explains how we are the creators of our own life and are here to help earth grow in a beautiful way. We are all powerful spiritual beings.

Describe your biggest failure and what you learnt from it. My biggest failure and learning was in 2009 when I found out my daughter was sexually abused/raped from my best mate at the time. I felt like a failure, felt guilty, felt used, and shammed as a dad.10 years past, I decided to do the inner work (mentally/spiritually) to letting it go and understanding, "What happened happened and couldn't of happened any other way, cause it didn't". By me accepting this it has helped me become the awesome father I am today and living my true passion & purpose in life.

Describe your biggest success and how you achieved it. My biggest success would have to be having the curiosity and courage to being open and vulnerable to doing the inner work which saved not only my life but my daughters. From this space it has truly opened my eyes to experiencing what life is truly about and also understanding if we heal ourselves we can help heal others.

What’s one piece of advice you think everyone should follow? Be open and vulnerable to unlocking real love ( unconditional love) from within

How do you handle stress? Breath work. If you master your breath you master your life.

How do you prioritise and manage your time? Understanding what's important to you, which are your values. From these it helps you understand where your time, money & energy flow.

How do you stay healthy? Doing my MEDS daily M-meditation, E-exercise (3km walk), D-diet (eating whole foods), S-sleep (getting quality sleep).

What does happiness mean to you? Living the life that you love waking up to.

What does success look like to you? Living the life that you love waking up to and helping people that are going through a challenging time see that they can do the same.

Describe your future self. A proud father, grandfather, husband and an holistic coach that loves helping people heal within by aligning their mind, body & soul.

What are some of your core beliefs/guiding principles? When you come from a place of real love you see life from a different set of eyes because you realize you are the only one who is in control of your vessel. You are the only one who can change if you choose to life is a gift and a beautiful journey.

Describe the best transformation you witnessed in someone. I helped a guy who had anger issues and had spent $500,000 on meth and felt like he was alone and thought he had no where to go. After working with him for 12 weeks unlocking the trapped emotions, he now is off meth and has a full-time job saving for a house and now he is helping others through their challenges which is what its all about.

Thank you for sharing your story, Troy. I’m so sorry about your daughter. Too many sexual assault victims suffer in silence. Unfortunately, it’s more common than we think and accompanies a long journey to healing. When we can talk about it, especially both men and women, the healing journey is at least less lonely. And hopefully with more dialogue and education, social change can happen.
