Q&A

Why did you get into coaching? I knew that the desire to do more with my life was not unique to me, nor was the frustration and discouragement that came with not knowing what to do about it. After a nearly 5 year personal journey, which continues to this day, I was impacted by the discovery of numerous strategies, systems, tactics, and habits that opened doors to a level of personal growth and development I hadn't experienced prior. The resultant profound shifts in my own vitality, mindset, and skillset needed to be shared!

What is your philosophy/style/approach? I believe that we all have an underappreciated and untapped ability to create an extraordinary life, that those who achieve success are not unique, and that a focused and emotionally-driven persistence toward purposeful and defined goals can make one limitless. My approach is to utilize scientifically proven strategies, tactics, systems, and habits that optimize both our internal and external "environments" to enhance efforts and maximize effectiveness towards goal achievement.

What book had the biggest change in your life and what did you learn from it? The book that impacted me the most was "Mindset: The New Psychology of Success" by Dr. Carol Dweck. This book taught me how a simple yet profound shift in our beliefs regarding the extent to which our abilities, characteristics, and traits are fixed or malleable will have a dramatic impact on how we approach life. By adopting a growth mindset we will except challenges outside of our comfort zone, and not avoid them, knowing that difficulty and failure are part of the equation of growth.

What’s one piece of advice you think everyone should follow? You don't have to believe in yourself in order to take action!

How do you prioritise and manage your time? Every Sunday I sit down with a planner and look at the week ahead. This allows me to determine and record my daily non-negotiable blocks that will be protected for "self-work". This gives me clarity and certainty for the week ahead that I will prioritize my own growth, as well as direction to ensure that I am working on only those things which move the needle toward my goals.

How do you stay healthy? Health and vitality are my primary core values. So for me, it is a dedicated practice of daily intermittent fasting, clean whole-food-based eating, cold showers, vigorous exercising, and prioritizing my sleep.

What does happiness mean to you? Liking who I am when no one's around.

What does success look like to you? Living a life that inspires, influences, and impacts all those around me.

Describe your future self. In relentless pursuit of personal growth and development to optimize my life, enhance my relationships, and expand my impact.

What are some of your core beliefs/guiding principles? The 3 core values that guide my life are: 1. Health/Vitality 2. Growth/Learning 3. Impact/Contribution Whenever an opportunity, an event, a relationship, or a decision arises, I filter it through these areas of personal priority to ensure alignment and congruity. This allows me to prevent uninvested outside forces from making decisions that impact my life.

Describe the best transformation you witnessed in someone. The first is when someone finally understands and accepts that no one is coming to save them and that they have complete agency over their outcomes! This rush of empowerment creates amazing momentum. The second is when someone digs deep enough to discover a "why that makes them cry". Once someone attaches a truly powerful emotion to their goals, a new level of dedication and commitment to achievement develops that is hard to defeat!
